Dr John Yeh has been a full‑time Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon in the U.K. since 2003. He previously served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The Royal London Hospital from 2003 to 2013. During this time, he was the Lead Surgeon for Complex Spine Surgery and also served as Head of the Neurosurgery Department for two years.
Dr John Yeh graduated from the University of Cambridge and completed his neurosurgical training in the West Midlands, U.K. He also holds a doctorate in spinal biomechanics.
Dr John Yeh has extensive experience in spinal surgery (excluding pediatric patients under 16 years of age) and general neurosurgery, performing approximately 350 procedures per year and running six outpatient clinics each week. His sub‑specialist interests include spinal lesions, spinal biomechanics, spinal implants and instrumentation, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and spinal cord regeneration.
Dr John Yeh publishes widely in peer‑reviewed journals and book chapters, undertakes ongoing research, and serves as a PhD examiner at King’s College London and Imperial College London. His research interests include biomaterials, spinal biomechanics, and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He has authored numerous publications and delivered oral and poster presentations at local, national, and international meetings, and has won several awards.
